Mmmmaven is helping to shape the New Music Industry by providing support to the most innovative producers and DJs as they see fit.
By booking tours, supporting larger acts, assisting with licensing and production or any number of requests, the professionals of Mmmmaven could best be described as a new era record label. The two directors of Mmmmaven have a collective 30 years of experience within the record industry.
Director Alex Maniatis comes from a background of artist suport, record label management, and event production. As the label manager of Dopamine Records, he has worked with Caspian, Hooray for Earth, Akimbo, Bluebird, The Burning Paris and producers like Baltimoroder.
From CMJ to Other Music to Forced Exposure, Director David Day has seen the music business from many different angles. Currently the editor of Dig Boston (formerly the Weekly Dig), Day’s contacts within the music industry is extensive.
Both were crucial to the beginning of Together Boston, the city’s homegrown music, art and technology festival. Celebrating its third year in 2012, Together has brought the city talents as varied as Mary Anne Hobbs, Trentemoller, Nicolas Jaar, Damian Lazarus, Das Racist, Pantha Du Prince, Egyptrixxx and countless more. Currently Maniatis serves as the Managing Director while Day is the co-creator and Creative Director.
The main thrust of Mmmmaven is to help artists reach their goals and help them succeed in whatever capacity we can. As the music industry shifts into the digital world, Mmmmaven can adjust and position itself to see through the demands of an artist’s vision.
